Another Amsterdam hotel that is grossly overpriced.Again, please bring climbing gear to get to any of the rooms, the stairs are so steep you almost need oxygen masks and if you are physically disabled forget it completely.The name Canal view seemed totally inappropriate because when I opened the curtains I was faced with a Timber and galvanized wall 4ft away with absolutely no view of anything.What a dump.Best avoided alltogether.Sleep in a bus station,it would be better.

good location near Central Railway station and Damrak but ..TV in room 3 didn’t work at all ever, very steep narrow staircase, big bed but small room , no view but couldn’t hear traffic , no facilities but reasonable value for money , , you’ll have to pay a tourist tax ..not sure for r what as over one hour wait in line at airport passport control and no public toilets etc…

The only good thing about this hotel is it’s location! Stairs are a death trap, our room smelled of cigarettes!!The heavy blinds fell on my wife. They were broken and tied up with string! A park bench would of been better!

We originally booked this hotel for 3 people we then wanted to add a person we spoke to the hotel who were very accommodating. We were on the top floor the stairs get so steep and thin (we got used to this) do not book if you have any physical difficulties. The room was clean, if your looking for somewhere to put your head down and wash in a clean place this is ideal. We would return here.

This was a joint birthday treat for my daughter & grandson. Neither had been to Amsterdam before and their excitement & anticipation of the trip was high. We expected basic but clean and safe accommodation. This place met neither of those expectations. On their arrival the building was locked up, looking like an abandoned building site. No reply to several phone calls on the given contact number. Eventually someone turned up to let them in. The place was filthy and unsafe. bare exposed electric wires protruding from the walls of their room. Building equipment lying everywhere, for people to trip over, or impede their exit in case of a fire. Plaster dust covering all the surfaces in their room. My daughters request for alternative, safe & clean accommodation was met with refusal. She was left with no alternative but to check out immediately and find accommodation in another hotel.
